Custom Fulfillment Platform

For Authentica Fulfillment, we designed and developed a custom WMS and fulfillment platform for managing warehouse processes and logistics. The project was created to deliver a fully automated and scalable system capable of handling the growing number of clients and order volume.

Collaboration began with complete architecture design and continued through core backend and frontend development based on Symfony and Vue.js. After the successful launch, we provided AWS infrastructure management, performance optimization, and platform expansion with additional modules and automation. The delivery also included websites and a client portal.

Custom Solution

Our goal was to build a system capable of serving thousands of B2B clients, hundreds of thousands of stock items, and millions of orders with maximum reliability. The platform covers the entire fulfillment cycle, from goods receipt to dispatch, including automatic invoicing, label printing, packaging, and shipment tracking.

  • Modular architecture with separated modules for receiving, warehouse, packing, and dispatch.
  • Realtime monitoring of warehouse processes, orders, and operator performance.
  • Carrier integrations (DHL, PPL, DPD, Zásilkovna, etc.) and e-commerce platforms such as Shopify, Shoptet, WooCommerce, and more.
  • Integration with warehouse robotics and automated sorting lines.
  • GDPR compliance and audit logs for full process traceability.

Technologies Used

The backend is built on Symfony and Doctrine ORM, and the frontend on Vue.js using PrimeVue and TypeScript. Deployment and operation are managed on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront), with automation handled in Docker containers and GitLab CI/CD pipelines.

The infrastructure is scalable, monitored, and includes separate environments and backup layers. We implemented Grafana dashboards and alerting for internal communication. For performance optimization, we used New Relic and database fine-tuning based on years of experience and AI-assisted analytics.

Operations and Development

During operation, we continuously expand the system with new features and optimize performance-critical components affecting order processing speed. We also ensure monitoring and SLA support, including automatic backups and data recovery testing.

By connecting software with real warehouse operations, we successfully reduced error rates, accelerated processes, and provided clients with transparent performance reports. The project demonstrates an effective combination of modern development, automation, and logistics.

Results

The Fulfillment by Authentica project is now one of the most advanced fulfillment platforms in the region. It enables automated order processing, real-time tracking of every package, and easy scalability during seasonal peaks.

The client continues to grow in volume, expand warehouse capacity, and offer premium service to customers. For us, this project represents a long-term partnership, combining development, operations, and continuous innovation.

Thanks to the project’s success, the company is transitioning to its own internal IT department by the end of Q1/2026, with our assistance. Our role is evolving from external IT management to consulting and advisory to ensure a smooth handover.

Overview

We developed a system that fully meets the logistics demands of modern applications and enabled the client to become one of the largest fulfillment centers in the Czech Republic, processing tens of thousands of orders per day. For three years, we actively participated in system design and took over product ownership.
